Sheri

Hi Sheri,

I am so glad you read my post; believe me it is such a moving event and very fulfilling day.

You may send any donation in Mary's honor to me:

8706 Tamarack
Temperance MI 48182

My last name is Sheehan, and the check needs to be made out to the American Cancer society.

If you would like to walk in a relay, sign onto americancancersociety.com, they relay coming up is in June I believe in Monroe, is a HUGE event, there are tons of things for the kids to do all day and night, lots of family entertainment and food. If you don't know exactly what you would like to do, may i suggest that you find out what time the luminaria walk is, show up at least an hour before if you would like to decorate one for Mare, and join in the luminaria walk, of ALL the things that go on all day, to me the lights off, the candlelight, the silence and all led by bagpipes is the PERFECT time to reflect on whatever feelings you have and a great time to just BE!!! Pay a little tribute to our Mare, and just think about her and nothing else in total and complete silence, knowing that all of the hundreds of people are loving someone too!!!! talk about the great outdoors being filled with love!!

To me that is absolutely the MOST moving part of the day, next to the first lap of the relay which is ONLY for survivors, to see all those men, women, children, in the purple shirts and to know they won!!! WOWWWWWW!!!!!

I really appreciate you taking the time to read my post; I think after about 30 posts they all get buried at the bottom :(

Thanks again..... Angel

Angel .......

I must have missed the first posting about the relay for life, because it would have been my honor to get involved, especially for Mary!!!!  If you can give us some information on how or where to send donations, that would be great.

It sounds like y'all had a great time, and the Derby theme is perfect!!!!  I am sure Mary and Dennis would have enjoyed it.  I look forward to the pictures, and info on how to send donations.

Mary and Dennis,

You stay strong, and keep fighting the fight.  We love you dearly and know that each day is one day closer to victory for you!!!!

Sincerely,

Sheri and Coley Hogg

DENNIS THIS IS FOR YOU & TO READ TO MARE

Hey, it is me :)

The relay was yesterday!!!!! Myself, Patrick, My mom, GiGi, Michelle, her new boy toy, Melissa and all of the kids and kids friends, as they recruited back up were there in honor of you and Mare. My mom made all of the volunteers aware of where Mary and you are and why and how much you are loved by our family and thought of as well.... Gigi sends her love and please don't forget I told you that and tell Mare, cuz you know I will be in HUGE trouble if she thinks I did not pass it along.

We did the Kentucky Derby theme in honor of you 2 this year, since you could not be there, we had horse races with horses on sticks and full grown adults and kids riding them, Mary would have been hysterical, My mom and I sang our hearts out and made complete fools of ourselves!!

Morgan donated 10 inches of her hair to locks of love for a child who has been thru chemo and lost their hair, ooooh another child with the spunk of Morgy will surely beat the battle they are fighting...... she made Aunt Mary a beautiful little luminary.

Brittany hopped in the dunk tank at 1:30 this morning to help raise money!!! I think she is JUST now warming up!!

ALLLLL had on their pins, but you need to know, myself, mom, gigi melissa, michelle and the kids wear them everyday anyway, but man was it nice to see everyone there honoring Mary and some of their loved ones as well.

YOU would have been so proud JC walked 1/2 mile in the dark lit only by the thousands of luminaries that were lit in honor of his aunt mare, all of the kids, including melissa's and michelle's did too, but little JC stayed quiet the whole time, and told me he misses you both and wants his Uncle D and his Aunt Mary to come home NOW.... we try to explain to him, Mare has to get just a little stronger and then maybe he can tell her himself again soon that he loves her.

You need to tell Mare, that JC prays for her EVERY night, I cannot lie, there are times, I forget to say my prayers but your little dude NEVER EVER forgets either of you and he wraps his arms around himself occasionally to give Aunt Mary a hug, cuz he says she is in his heart and he knows she feels it...... please tell her for me.

I got you a shirt with that little guy that pisses on chevy and dodge, you know the little guy on the bumper stickers..... anyway your shirt, has him pissing on cancer!!! I am going to have MMB put on the back of it and send that to ya, you will get a laugh out of it, we all did!!!

Anyway, I wanted you to know, lots of people were thinking of you and Mare all day yesterday, we know you are going to do ok, you are in all of our thoughts and prayers, and we alllll love you both soooo much. I will talk to you this week!!!!!!!!! hugs and kisses!!!

RELAY FOR LIFE, MMB PLEASE READ!!!

As many of you know; as was posted, the Bedford MI RELAY FOR LIFE was held yesterday from 9 am to this morning til 9 am; OUR team did a KENTUCKY DERBY theme, in honor of Mary and Dennis, since they could not be at the DERBY this year.

I will be posting photos of the Luminaries my family and my girlfriends made in HONOR of MARY, ONCE THEY ARE ALL DEVELOPED.

The Relay for those who don't know is an event held in many communites in May and June and it is a 24 hour event, to raise money for cancer research, the whole goal is to fund research for a CURE to this horrible disease.

AS of this morning BEDFORD rasised 114k, HOWEVER WE ARE ACCEPTING DONATIONS THRU THE NEXT FEW WEEKS..... AND ALL OF THE MONEY 100% WILL GO TO RESEARCH FOR A CURE.

MARY HAD EVERY INTENTION TO BE THERE AND DO A LAP ON THE TRACK WITH US, AS ONE OF THE SURVIVORS, SHE IS BUSY BEING A SURVIVOR AND WAS NOT ABLE TO BE THERE, BUT SEEING ALL THE PURPLE SHIRTS ON THE TRACK, "HAD IT, FOUGHT IT, WON IT" REMINDED ME OF WHAT MARY AND DENNIS ARE DOING SO FAR AWAY FROM HOME!!

MY DAUGHTER WHO CONSIDERS MARY HER AUNT, DONATED 10 INCHES OF HER HAIR YESTERDAY TO LOCKS OF LOVE FOR CHILDREN WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED CHEMO AND HAVE LOST THEIR HAIR, THE CANCER LOCKS OF LOVE ARE OF NO CHARGE TO THESE CHILDREN, I AM SO PROUD OF HER AND I KNOW MARY WILL BE TOO, MY SON, MARY AND DENNIS GODSON WHO IS NOW 5 WAS AS QUIET AS A MOUSE AS HE WALKED 1/2 MILE DURING THE SILENT LUMINARIA LAP AND HE PRAYED FOR HIS AUNT MARY AND THOUGHT ABOUT HER A GREAT DEAL, HE LOVES HER AND MISSES HER DEARLY.

UNFORTUNATELY, NOT ONE OF PERSON ON THIS BLOGGER, OR OFF THAT KNOW MARY AND DENNIS..... TOOK ME UP ON MY OFFER TO MAKE A DONATION FOR THE CURE IN MARY'S HONOR, OR TO VOLUNTEER AN HOUR OF TIME TO WALK FOR HER OR TO DONATE $10 TO MAKE A LUMINARY IN HER HONOR THAT WE LIT AND LINED THE TRACK WITH THOUSANDS OF LAST NIGHT IN HONOR OF EVERYONES LOVED ONES AND THOSE LOST TO THIS HORRIBLE DISEASE.

IT IS NOT TOO LATE..... YOU CAN STILL GET INVOLVED IN YOUR CHAPTER OF THE RELAY FOR LIFE, THERE IS ONE IN MOST EVERY COMMUNITY AND WE ARE GOING TO ACCEPT DONATIONS THRU THE END OF JUNE FOR OURS...... OUR CHAPTER HELPED MONROE WITH 90K OF THE 500K THAT PUT THEM IN THE TOP 10 COLLECTING RELAYS ACROSS AMERICA.....

I AM PLEADING TO ALL OF YOU; GET INVOLVED, MARY WOULD WANT YOU TO, HOW DO I KNOW? SHE CRIED WHEN SHE READ THE POSTING I ORIGINALLY PUT OUT THERE FOR HELP IN HER HONOR AND SHE HERSELF WANTED TO BE THERE...........................SOMEDAY THERE WILL BE A CURE, MARY IS A FIGHTER BETWEEN HER FIGHTING ABILITIES AND ALL OF THE PRAYERS AND LOVE SHE RECEIVES EVERY DAY, SHE HAS A TON OF SUPPORT EMOTIONALLY BUT GOD AND MARY HAVE ALOT TO DO WITH HER HEALING AND HER BATTLE.......

WHY SHOULD MARY OR ANYONE HAVE TO GO THRU THIS HORRIBLE TIME? IF WE ALL PULL TOGETHER, AND I MEAN ALL..... AND DONATE WHAT LITTLE WE CAN, OR GIVE UP SOME OF THAT TIME THAT WE TAKE FOR GRANTED TO HELP FIND THAT CURE..............SO MUCH PAIN AND HEARTACHE CAN BE SAVED!

I HAVE LEARNED THRU MMB AND THE RELAY, THAT I DON'T KNOW OR HAVE NOT SPOKEN TO ONE SINGLE PERSON THAT IN SOME WAY HAS BEEN DEVESTATED BY THIS AWFUL THING THEY CALL CANCER.......

HELP US, HELP MARY AND OTHERS LIKE HER!! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET INVOLVED IN MINE, START YOUR OWN, GET INVOLVED IN YOUR COMMUNITY, IF YOU CANNOT START YOUR OWN AS IT TAKES A TONNNNN OF TIME AND A HUGE COMMITMENT TO CHAIR A TEAM, THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF TEAMS, AND EVERY ONE OF THEM WELCOME VOLUNTEERS, THERE ARE NO STRANGERS AT THIS EVENT, MAYBE PEOPLE YOU DON'T KNOW OR RECOGNIZE BUT THERE ARE NOOOOO STRANGERS.

ANGEL

Sunday

Good Morning all,

Just having coffee this morning and thinking about Mary.  Hope things are going well in Philly.  Take care of yourself D.  I don't know who else is in Philly, but I know Mary and D must like having loved ones around to help relieve the atmosphere of the hospital.

    Love,

Scott & Jim
